Located in Austin, Texas, Circuit of the Americas (COTA) is internationally recognized for world-class motorsports, live entertainment, and major events, including the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix.
Expanding beyond its motorsports roots, COTA introduced COTALAND, a 30-acre theme park located within the venue’s 1,500-acre campus just outside downtown Austin. Featuring a mix of high-thrill roller coasters and family-friendly attractions, COTALAND offers guests another way to experience the energy and excitement of this iconic destination.
Nestled within the park, Bluebonnet Springs Splash Pad creates a pond-like atmosphere through a collection of nature-inspired aquatic play features. Life Floor aquatic surfacing provides a durable foundation for the space, complemented by ground sprays such as Geyserino and Water Flowers. Five Daisy Aqua Spouts bring a floral touch to the design, while Daisy Raindrop, Flower Shower, and three Flutterby Rings add playful details throughout the splash pad.
Arranged throughout the space, Water Odyssey’s Pretty Petunia and Golden Lion Flower Fun Form Aqua Sprayers introduce oversized floral elements that bring the natural theme to life. At the center of the splash pad, the friendly Lilly Frog Aqua Sprayer sends an arching fan of water into the air, inviting children to jump in and interact with the spray. Flowerette and Dragonfly ColorCast features add vibrant pops of color that catch the sunlight while providing refreshing water play.
For children looking for a little friendly competition, two Gravity Shooters face one another, creating opportunities to aim, spray, and engage with fellow guests. A custom Bluebonnet Mushroom Maze adds another distinctive element to the design, paying homage to the spirit of the Texas springs and the seasonal beauty of wildflowers in bloom. Bringing the entire experience to life, two Touch N’ Go Bollard Activators positioned on either side of the entrance allow guests to activate the splash pad’s interactive features.
COTALAND represents a new chapter for Circuit of the Americas, expanding the property beyond its roots in world-class motorsports and creating a destination designed to welcome guests year-round. Together, COTA and COTALAND offer an experience that feels distinctly Austin: energetic, adventurous, and centered around memorable experiences for visitors of all ages.
Water Odyssey is proud to contribute to this new chapter through Bluebonnet Springs Splash Pad. By combining nature-inspired features, colorful details, and interactive water play, the project demonstrates how thoughtfully designed aquatic environments can create engaging spaces for families to cool off, connect, and make lasting memories.
