Adventure Acres Park brings a new family-focused recreation destination to the Rossville, Georgia area. Designed to encourage outdoor exploration and community gathering, the park features a dry playground, picnic areas, an event pavilion, restrooms, and a nature-themed splash pad developed by Water Odyssey and AquaWorx. The nature-themed splash pad design creates an immersive environment where children and families can cool off, interact, and explore together.
At the center of the splash pad stands a custom Tidal Barrel featuring the Adventure Acres logo, acting as both a visual focal point and a thrilling water attraction. The barrel fills internally before releasing a dramatic splash of water onto excited patrons below. Surrounding the Tidal Barrel are a variety of Water Odyssey spray features inspired by nature and adventure, including the Flutterby Ring, Daisy Raindrop, Rock Rain Aqua Sprayer, Balanced Rock Aqua Sprayer, and multiple rock-themed Aqua Spouts and Sprayers that create playful streams and arching spray effects. Additional features like the Baby Bear-Themed Buckets, complete with honeycomb-themed tipping buckets and a whimsical bear figure, further reinforce the splash pad’s outdoor-inspired atmosphere.
Interactive play is encouraged throughout the splash pad with strategically placed Big Sqwerts Spin N’ Spray Logs, positioned across from one another to inspire social spraying games between users. Designed with a 45-degree horizontal swing, the cannons keep water contained within the splash zone while still allowing for energetic interaction. Ground spray elements such as the Baby Long Legs, Jet Way, Water Weave, and Triple Mist create a variety of spray heights, textures, and movement patterns that enhance the sensory play experience.
To support water conservation and operational efficiency, the splash pad utilizes several advanced control and filtration technologies. A Touch N' Go Bollard allows patrons to activate the splash pad at their leisure, with the system automatically shutting off after a designated runtime to reduce unnecessary water usage. Behind the scenes, a Dynamic Sequencing Controller (DSC) times individual spray features so they sequence on and off rather than operating simultaneously, creating ever-changing play patterns while minimizing water consumption.
The splash pad’s recirculating water management system, supplied by AquaWorx, continuously filters, sanitizes, and recycles water throughout the day. The system includes a collector tank reservoir designed to hold more water than the splash pad requires during operation, ensuring consistent flow and eliminating dead zones on the pad. Sand filtration, UV sanitation, and an automated chemical controller work together to maintain clean water conditions while supporting sustainable operation.
This project was brought to life through the collaboration of Water Odyssey, AquaWorx, Dominica Recreation Products, and various PlayCore brands. Together, the team created a vibrant recreation destination that combines themed design, interactive aquatic play experiences, and advanced water management technology to serve the Rossville community for years to come.
